A TRUE SPADER will always “Stay TRUE to the Rules”
TRUE SPADERS aspire to absolute integrity, fierce competition, and genuine fun in everything we do. We are always respectful of others and our words and actions are always carried out with appropriate decorum. We are committed to enhancing everyone’s gaming experience, helping new players feel welcome, and showing appreciation to volunteers.
Each TRUE SPADER must provide and maintain a working e-mail address. Informing the Club of any and all changes in this information is the members responsibility. Members must also provide a working MSN Messenger or Yahoo Messenger address, but can request that this information be restricted to access only by Staff members.
Honesty is a trait of a TRUE SPADER. So you must never say or do anything that will communicate your cards to your partner or give your team an unfair advantage over your opp. No warnings are given to a player who cheats; the penalty is immediate expulsion. If you cannot abide by this part of the Code of Conduct , then this is not the club for you.
Be polite to everyone, including hosts, opps, and your partner. Hosts make mistakes and some are unfair; if you encounter a problem with a host, do not point it out or discuss it in lobby chat. Contact the host privately. We all know that some players cheat. You may NOT accuse another player of cheating when you're wearing your TRUE SPADER nic. As hard as it may be a TRUE SPADER must keep it to themselves. If you wish to pursue the matter, copy the table chat and send an e-mail to mail@truespaders.com , explain the details, and the matter will be handled. Above all a TRUE SPADER is always polite to their partner, especially teamies. If you don't like how a partner plays, you don't have to pard that person again. You can make a polite excuse. Do not ever criticize your partner's play at the table. If you feel must comment on the way your partner played, do so politely in a private conversation AFTER THE GAME.
We have a five (5) day evaluation period before you are approved to wear the TS_Nic. After the five (5) day evaluation period, your initial acceptance into the TRUE SPADERS Club will include a 90 day probationary period in which to decide if being a TRUE SPADER is the right fit for you. Therefore, membership in the TRUE SPADERS club is “at will” for the first 90 days. After that, it is your decision, unless the COC is broken. From the very first day you are accepted as a member you are required to play only in your TS_Nic when paying in any Tournaments. If you do not or you continue to play in your nic prior to joining TRUE SPADERS the “at will” clause will be exercised and you will be removed from the roster.
Once you join the TRUE SPADERS Club, and for as long as you remain a member, you cannot belong to any other Spades Club. The TRUE SPADERS Club is exclusive. However, you may belong to a ladders team. As a TRUE SPADER you are required to play at least one tournament a month. If we do not see you playing for a period of 30 days, you will receive an e-mail asking if you wish to remain with the club. If there is no answer, after two weeks of receiving the e-mail, you will be removed from the roster. We all know that Life takes precedence we just ask that you let us know if you are going to be away for an extended period of time. We don’t need details just send us an e-mail to mail@truespaders.com and let us know your going to be gone and for how long we can always list you on a leave of absence if need be.
You must always personify the goals and ideals of TRUE SPADERS. As a TRUE SPADER, you agree to protect and abide by this Code of Conduct as well as the Code of Conduct at any gaming site you play at. You are Welcome to play at ANY Gaming Site in your TRUE SPADER nic and to post the banners you win from any site on our banner board.
